Fitness & Wellbeing has always been an important factor in my life. I love my own training which is a combination of weight training, circuits/bootcamp style strength & endurance along with running. I like to keep it varied and fun!
 
This has allowed me to complete a range of activities including: several Tough Mudder Races; Rough Runner; many 10K runs; The Great South Run, and my first half Marathon. More recently I completed the London Moonwalk Marathon which was both physically & mentally challenging. I was training for the Bournemouth Marathon 2017 but unfortunately developed a hamstring injury which prevented me from completing it. I will try again in the future! 
 
Despite always having a passion for fitness I didn’t always have the confidence. I struggled with body image and low self-esteem. I never trained with anyone else restricting myself to home DVD’s. The thought of training in a gym filled me with fear, I lacked knowledge and thought I would embarrass myself. 
 
In 2015 I made a conscious decision to make positive changes in my life & follow my dreams. I realised that I was the only one that could make it happen. I knew if I continued to do what I always did I’d get what I’d always got. I wanted more. I wanted to see what I could achieve, I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone. I needed to challenge myself and I did!
 
I joined a gym, learnt how to train my own body alongside gaining qualifications as a Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, Spin Instructor, Aqua Fitness Instructor and I love teaching Bootcamp/Circuit strength and endurance classes.

Guilty Pleasures: I do enjoy a glass of wine at the weekend I’m known for my love of pick n mix sweets!
 
Favourite film: Shawshank Redemption; A knights Tale.. I love stand up comedians, especially Micky Flannagan!
 
Something you may not know: I’m an adrenaline Junkie! 15,000 ft Sky Dive was my favourite!
 
Favourite Exercise: Burpees! Weights and HIIT training.
 
Goals for 2018: Incorporate more yoga into my training, I need to become more flexible. I'd also like to get better at Olympic lifts.
